I hadn't updated at all until this year when I went from 1.1 to 1.5, then 1.6.0. I had no issues with focusing until I updated. I have the most issues when using video (I mostly use the RF 70-200mm 2.8).
I have had no focus issues. There has been a firmware update, which addressed compatibility issues, not AF issues. You have a gaggle of third party lenses, whereas all of my main lenses are all Canon ā€œLā€ lenses. The camera is under warranty, so send it to Canon, and ask them to check the AFMA. The crops above were with a sigma 35mm 1.4 art. One shot AF, single point focus. I do agree that I should probably post some sort of better photos to avoid people coming in and thinking I don't know how to use a camera, lol. Shutter speeds around 1/2000. This issue was painfully obvious just shooting around the house. Grabbed a 6d, no problems.
